Budapest TukTuk started in 2014 , because an idea came to Tamás and Gábor, the founders, for a new way to introduce our city to travellers, that they couldn’t see on the market. This idea became one of the most popular and trending private tours of Budapest (please see our Tripadvisor), only in five years.
Our idea is to show the city as a local would but with good mobility and far-reaching knowledge. Our guides are selected characters and experienced drivers with great knowledge of the city. They drive new Piaggio Calessino Ape tuk tuks, and these three wheeled vehicles are not just charming but are very capable of urban exploration.
The company’s vehicle park counts twelve Piaggio TukTuks, and we take group reservations up to 30 people. For such group we work together with our partner, another TukTuk company.
Each of our vehicles is comfortable for two to three people, depending on their space requirements. The fleet can operate together perfectly with groups up to our full capacity – traveling in a group of many Tuk Tuks on the streets of Budapest is guaranteed unforgettable fun for every guest.
Alongside our themed tours we offer various services, such as customised transportation for team building programs, hen nights, urban team games, custom tours, birthday events, proposal and so on. We are happy to offer and do service for charity or cultural events and festivals, as our humble donation to the helpers.
Among our customers (please see our Instagram page) we find the widest spectrum of people: there are lone travellers, couples, families, friends or business groups, young and old from the four corners of the earth.
Since the first year our business is growing dynamically and constantly and we earned the official support of the capital and the definite backing of the Budapest Card distributing governmental office, the Budapest Festival and Tourism Centre (BFTK).
Encouraged by the successful cooperation with our current partners (A few from the many: Viator, GetYourGuide, Hotelbeds, Kuoni travel, Lonely Planet, Expedia, Viking Cruises, Phoenix Cruises, Hilton, Sofitel, Zara, Four Seasons, Ritz Carlton, the big and small travel agencies and DMCs from around the world) , we believe that we could create a mutually beneficial collaboration with You.
